How to predict your future

Imagine - just for a second - you could predict your future.

A crystal ball showing just a glimpse of what things will be. 

Pretty cool, huh?

 

The truth is, you don’t have to imagine. 

Because you can predict your future right now, if you want.

You just have to look at how you’re spending your time today.

 

Every every single thing we do moves us in a direction.

Closer to, or further from what we want.

Every decision is a vote for the type of person we become.  

Closer to, or further from the person we imagine.

What we do today matters. 

 

So, what does your today look like?

Is it full of saying yes to more and more things?

Another day of rushing from meeting to meeting? Of just not enough time and so much to do?

Of missing out on dinners with family? Phone calls with friends? 

 

Is today another day of putting your dreams and goals to one side? 

Maybe you'll get to them next month, or next year when you have more time.

But isn't that what you said last month, and last year?

 

And if so, what will your future look like?

Maybe it will be helping other people realise their goals and dreams. 

Instead of realising your own.

Maybe it will be a schedule still full of things you don’t want to do. 

With still no time for friends or family.

No time spent figuring out what's important to you.

Is that how you imagine your future?

 

By evaluating your today, you can predict your future and choose to change course. 

 

And here’s how in three steps:

1. Ask yourself - what do I want my future to be? And who do I want to be? 

2. Evaluate how you spent your time today. Is what you're doing moving you closer to the future you want or not?

3. Start being that future version of you now. Do the things that are important and ditch those that aren't.
