What is a Mindset Coach?

When we think of a coach, often it's related to sports. 

When I found out I'd got a place in the 2019 101km UTMB CCC ultramarathon race, I hired Donnie Campbell (renowned ultra-runner) as my running coach.⁠

Not just to set me a training plan that would (I hoped!) help me run around Mont Blanc for 22 hours straight, but for accountability.⁠

The weekly training schedule and check in with Donnie kept me on track. Even when it was a wet, freezing February Sunday morning and I was tired from the previous day's run. ⁠

Even when all I wanted to do was have cups of tea on the sofa under a blanket, I got my running kit on and ran for hours in the hills near Edinburgh.⁠

This accountability is what made me continually show up. It helped me become not only a better runner, but a better version of myself.⁠

It's easy to think of training for our bodies. But what about training for our minds?⁠

Our minds are the filter through which our whole reality unfolds. Everything we see in the world, every interaction we have with another person, everything we do in the world is all driven by our thinking.⁠

How often do we take time to really understand what's going on in our minds? ⁠
