[00:00:00] Hi, and welcome to the Scary Goals Club. I am your host, Hazel Robertson, and I believe that to make the impact that you know you are called to make in the world, it requires setting bigger, scarier goals and then becoming the person who creates them. That is what I am here to show you how to do. That's what we are diving into with mindset tools.
Tricks. Really simple, practical, actionable steps you can take and start applying straight away. 'cause whatever you believe, we have this one life that we definitely know about. Start making the impact, you know you wanna make in the world. Fear is not a reason to stop. We keep going. We work through the fear.
That is what we do in the Scary Goals Club. So come on in, come join, hit subscribe, and let's get started.
Hi, and welcome to the Scary Cool Score Podcast. I'm your host, Hazel Robinson, and I actually hadn't [00:01:00] found out this this week's episode. Literally it came to me. I guess it had been like slightly going round in my mind and it came to me just there, just off a call. Probably avoiding some stuff in my calendar for this afternoon and which links to what this podcast could be about, be about.
And I just wanted to hop on here and update you with a scary goal of mine in real time because when I started this podcast, the whole. Purpose. It was almost like this slightly meta concept of, or like inception of like the, my scary goal was to start this podcast and I called it the Scary Goals Club.
Goals Club, and a. It was to start the podcast, but to create 30 episodes as well, because I wanted it to be not just like, oh yeah, I've started it and done a few episodes, but actually have 30, like have a tangible number by the end of the year, whatever it [00:02:00] was that was last year. That was, you know, the whole, then the first few episodes it was like going through and as I am building this, I'm like creating this scary goal in real time.
What's coming up for me, how I'm working through it, all the different things I'm figuring out and like helping give you guys the tools for that as well. And then there were some other goals. I touched a little bit on them. One of them was becoming pregnant with our second kiddo and. I touched on it a little bit because I'd had some challenges earlier this year, like fertility wise and with miscarriages, and I did a bit of an episode on that, but I didn't really want that to be a focus for me anyway.
It didn't feel like something I wanted to really focus on, like more giving a bit of an update, but not in terms of that being where I wanted to focus the podcast episodes, other than the odd update and then house stuff maybe I talked about in the background, but again. Maybe I could have talked a bit more in real time, but for me [00:03:00] it didn't feel like, you know, there were goals I was working towards, but they, I didn't feel like I wanted to dive and do like loads of them, loads of talking about 'em on the podcast.
Whereas this next scary goal I do wanna talk about because it's also, I, I want to,
um. Is someone outside the window? Two sec. It's just a bird. Even gutter. It's like, it sounds like someone's outside the window or doing something, but
okay, so whereas this scary goal, I like even even talking about it. Feels really scary. I'm really vulnerable and I'll talk about why. And I know that when there's something that I'm just like, oh, I [00:04:00] don't wanna do or talk about it, like there's something that I'm like, I don't wanna talk about that.
Whereas this, I'm like, I want to talk about it. It just feels scary and I know that the way through that is to. Do the scary thing. Talk about the thing that feels a bit scary, that I'm almost like, I don't wanna do it, but I do. It's like I'm not forcing myself to do things that I don't wanna do. Like ultimately I want to talk about this.
It just feels very vulnerable for like a few different reasons. So my scary goal, I've chat, I think I've chatted a little bit before. I'm going on mat leave. I've said the 18th of December. Like baby's due kind of mid Jan. By the time we have Christmas and then, you know, it's like I'm not gonna go back to work for like a week and then give birth like and the week later or whatever.
But so my decision was, okay, I'll wrap up. I might do a few little bits or record some podcast episodes for you, put some posts out, but I'm kind of wrapping up the 18th of December. And before that [00:05:00] I am doing a free training, which I spoke about in the last podcast episode, which I'm really excited about, all about how to bend time and I can't wait to dive into that with you.
And I also kind of mentioned or hinted at something that I am something else that's fun and this is my. Scary goal, which is creating, now I'm talking about this. I mean, I still haven't figured out a name for it. I know roughly what it's gonna look like, how it's gonna be like I've, I've done a lot of that work.
I haven't actually built the thing, but it's going to be a tool that you can use that's gonna help you heal your relationship with time, bend time, be able to show up. In a way where you're not procrastinating, not putting things off, building a system for like planning a week and figuring things out.
So there's the, like the strategy and the practical stuff. But, and, and, but also the, like, [00:06:00] how to say no, how to check in with your intuition. How to like, understand where your energy levels are and focus more on the things that are lighting you up and just redesigning your days, your weeks, your life in a way that's gonna work with your brain.
So it's gonna help you. Not only, and it's not about like getting things done, but it's gonna help you create more of the impactful things that's gonna make a bigger impact in the line of work that you do, but you're actually doing less because it's not about the doing and it's not about the things, it's all the other stuff around it.
Such as our thoughts, our mindset, like how we're thinking about time, how we're thinking about the things that we are doing. If we are like how we are feeling, if our nervous system, our brain body connection is regulated, dysregulated, like diving into helping you understand that the, like the brain body connection and using that as your way in to actually then be able to have the capacity to create more and [00:07:00] more impactful and think at a bigger level and innovate.
Have bigger conversations and do bigger, bolder things, but you're not actually doing more. And so it's also letting go and releasing the busyness, the last minuteness, the stress, the panic, the rush, the procrastination, the perfectionism, like all of that stuff that comes along with when we're just like, do, do, do, do, do.
And we, were not regulating our nervous system and we're not understanding how our brain works and how our brain body connection works. And when we understand how. We influence the time that we spend. We influence what we're creating and how we're creating and how we are showing up. Like our energy, our thoughts, our feelings, our behavior, like how we are actually being in the world.
When we start to shift that and our identity and like who we are and how we see ourselves and step into a different identity, everything changes. But we're not, it's like we're not working harder and doing more. We're actually doing [00:08:00] less. Yet we're doing the things that maybe previously we would be avoiding or putting off or just, you know, spending time doing the busy work.
'cause it feels satisfying and fun in the moment. And we get a dopamine hit or someone like says, thank you so much for doing this thing, but we're not actually doing the really chunky, meaty stuff that we know is what we wanna do and what is most impactful and what is gonna move us where we want to go.
So there's, it's like getting out of the avoidance and the spin and all of that. I wanna do it in a really neurodivergent friendly way, like especially thinking about ADHD and my ADHD. Like I, and I've built before, I've built and launched courses and programs before. Personally, I don't want to like sit and watch a video.
I don't always wanna do a worksheet, like sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I find that personally for me, how I consume information, so much of it is. Audio and I like, I love, and it, once I started [00:09:00] giving my clients tools, like obviously the coaching sessions I guess were on video and that's kind of more auditory.
But once I started giving them like meditation and to help them process feelings and visualization and, and actually audio tools that they can take away and like do in real time. Then go take a step, go take, like, do something. The next thing, like just the, the, the spell, the scale and the speed of the results they got was so much faster.
It's the same for me. When I started really leaning into and I used my own meditation and visualization audios, like when I started really doing that, it was like, uh oh. Stuff started to shift so much more quickly and. I just figured out a way of working with my ADHD brain that was different than how I'd even been teaching things in the past and how I thought I quote unquote, should do things of like time blocking whole weeks out and [00:10:00] planning and everything was like quite like following this process.
And when I actually released that and allowed myself and my clients as well, it's like help them get permission to build their own. Se I mean system sometimes like system could sound a bit corporatey or like boring or triggering to some people, but like taking these different tools and playing with them, making it playful, making it fun, playing with what works for them.
Diving into this, diving into that, like thinking of it all as this test experiment, this like. Playful process. Like when I started doing that, it was just, it became so much easier to be doing and focusing on the things that like ultimately I really wanted to do when I felt like I had to do things a certain way or like follow a process someone else had designed, or what I felt I should do, everything just felt a bit more constricting, a bit heavier, a bit harder, and like my brain like rebelled against it and I didn't wanna do it.
And for me, like. When I [00:11:00] was in that space, this was kinda like last year, early last year, like work became really heavy work became really like hard and forced. I felt super burned out. I was really depressed and it was just not a fun space to be in. Whereas now I like have all these amazing tools and a way of approaching it that's just so fun and so flowy.
Feels really creative. Just works for my like buzzy creative visual movement based. Like fun based brain. And it's not about like not doing things like it, like things are fun and they're still hard. Like I'm sitting here recording this podcast, which feels really scary and yet it feels also, it is fun.
Like it can be both. It's like it's fun, it's creative, and still I am sharing something that feels really vulnerable for me, and I'll get into why it feels vulnerable. You're probably like, what? Why is this vulnerable? This sounds really cool. Like, great. I wanna find out how I could get access to this. Um, [00:12:00] but like, it's not about, oh, I just do fun and like fun things all the time.
It's like it's still doing things that feel expansive that we, but it's like not forcing ourselves to do things. That's the key thing with all this. Anyway, so the format that I'm putting this tool together in is gonna be like a podcast, like a private podcast that like you can get access to, listen.
Anywhere dive into, there'll be like a structure of like, okay, day one, listen to this, do this thing. Day two, listen to this, do this thing. So it's like very simple to follow on. Once you've done it, you can start it again at the beginning, like keep going round. You can dip into bits that you feel you need.
It doesn't have to be every day follows this. It's just keeping it really simple, keeping it so it feels fun and creative and just like something really exciting to do. And. The thing is when we are playing, when we are relaxing and we feel like it's a fun game, that's when we're learning and that's when we actually want to go and do the thing that's gonna rewire brain and change how we are and change our relationship with time and how we [00:13:00] experience time.
And just give us that feeling of expansiveness and like thinking at the highest level and connecting deeply with people in the work that we do and actually having, making that bigger impact because we're not just in like stress reactive in the like busy go, go, go, go, go. And then we get burned out. So this is the tool I'm putting together.
I haven't named it yet other than like the private podcast thing. The podcast thing tool. The reason it feels, anyway, so on the 5th of December, I'm gonna do a free, like I'm doing a free training. I'll put the link in the show notes. You can sign up. It'd be so fun to have you there called How to Bed Time and.
I will dive into the training and like give you, we will do so many of these exercises on the actual call, like you will leave. Knowing something that you thought you were like stuck on or procrastinating on, and you will leave having a very clear way forward where you're like, oh, it's so easy. I can go and do this thing now.
Like that is my goal [00:14:00] for the call. Very practical, very like actually using some of these tools. So it's like gonna be very useful. There's also some amazing, but coming on live, I might do replay. I think I probably will, but there is something amazing about being on live and being in the energy of other people who are all.
Like learning and experiencing and showing up and shifting their brain and shifting the way they're seeing things, shifting their emotional state and like making a decision to do something differently in their life. Like there's something so powerful about being on a call live, and I love it as well.
It's been so long since I've done it, but anyway, I'm really excited for it now. Oh yeah. And, and then at the end of the call, I'm gonna dive in more to what this tool is once I, once I name it. Once I get a aim for it and how you can get access to it, and part of the reason of like coming up with it is like one is just seeing how these tools I use with my clients are so helpful.
Like the audio based ones where they can [00:15:00] just take it away and like they don't need me on the call. They can just put on this guided visualization or this meditation and actually just unlock somewhere they've been stuck. Like cre, like the meeting just goes how they imagined or they're like working towards their goal or whatever it is.
And it's like it doesn't need me to be there and I want to get these tools to more people. And also like having something that's a little bit more structured that kind of walks you through, I guess a lot of the stuff that we do in the one-on-one coaching, there is a structure to it. It depends on what the client brings and what they need on that particular day, but it's like they're like learning different skills and like embedding some of these tools.
But wanting to bring that to a wider audience who may like you may be like, oh, I'd love the idea of a private podcast. I could just do it myself. I don't have to turn up to a call at a certain time. Or like do one-on-one coaching. Like maybe that's not your jam. Maybe that's not what you want to do. You prefer to just kind of like do your own self study.
[00:16:00] So I want to have something where like there's a tool that's available for those of you who really want that. And also I don't want it to be like a course and you have to watch videos and it feels like another thing you have to do. I want it to feel something that's like really fun where you're like, oh, I can't wait to listen to today's one.
What's it gonna be? What fun like game am I off to go play today? And like, I want it to feel really playful, really fun. So. The reason this feels scary to share is I, so I've built two like online training courses at the moment. There's one that still is there, although the stuff that I taught in it, a lot of it I don't, I use principles of it, but I don't teach or do in the same way anymore.
But it still, it sits there and like people still use it, but it's. It's not aligned with like how I coach and how I teach now, and I think there's certain elements of it that are not neuro divergent friendly, like it's a little bit more, you [00:17:00] have to do things in a certain way or like this is the process, these are the steps, rather than actually, here are some examples and play around with what feels fun for you.
There's an el, like I tried to bring in some of that stuff, but it's a little bit more like, do these things in this order, which is how. I used to approach stuff until I realized it wasn't working for me anymore. So I built that one. That's all good and people are still using that. Then after,
Was it after I had my son? It was, I wanted to build. Another, like something that was some kinda online thing. Again, getting these tools out to more people, like having, and this one was a bit more of like a program where it had like a coaching element to it. So it was like, I think it was weekly. Maybe I change it to like every three weeks out before something like that.
So had a coaching element to it. And I like the, I've spoken about this on a previous episode from maybe like last year. [00:18:00] And the reason this feels so scary to be doing and building another course, program, grabby kinda thing, tool is I got really burned out the last time I created that and I, and I got really depressed and it took its toll on me.
It took its toll on my family. It was a really dark, dark few months and. Looking back now, I mean, there was so many things like, and I know that how I, and this is the same with so many things, which is why like getting this tool out, these tools out are, is so important to me because it's like when you understand that how you create something, whether it's a meeting, a tool, a report, a, an email.
How you are actually doing it, meaning [00:19:00] how you're thinking and feeling while you're doing it. Like you could take the same action. Like for me it was recording videos, uploading them, or like making slides. Whatever it was is the same. You could write an email. This, the, the, the action is the same, the behavior is the same.
Typing or like writing an email, but how you are thinking and feeling, how you are being your energy behind whatever you're doing. Completely changes the outcome of what the thing is. If you think about it, if you are feeling rushed, if you're feeling behind, if you're feeling stressed, thinking like, oh, I just have to get, I just have to get this email out.
I just have to get it out. That email is gonna land very differently with someone. Then if you are feeling like calm and expansive and like, this is so powerful, this is so important. I'm, I really wanna connect with this person. Like whatever it is. The actions are the same. The page you take the same,[00:20:00]
the impact, the outcome, what that then builds and creates, and whether it's moving you where you want to go, moving further from where you wanna go is gonna be very different. And that is driven by how you're, and so knowing that, and yet we don't get told this, right? Like, I just need to get this thing done.
I just need to get this thing done. And if you're ever in that place. What you're producing is never, ever gonna be like to do something just to get it done. It's like, what's the, literally what's the point? Like if you're not thinking about what that bigger piece is and tapping into that and shifting how you're feeling, your emotional state regulating your nervous system, shifting your mindset, all of this stuff that we do, and coach will be in this too, if you're not conscious and consciously deciding how you wanna be and how you wanna be showing up.
You will be doing stuff, but it's not gonna create the outcome you want. So you will be busy [00:21:00] prying off emails, doing things just to get things done, but it's almost like you're spinning your wheels like it's not gonna be landing. Or someone's gonna be like, well, you missed something or this, or like, come back with stuff.
Or there's disconnect and it's not moving you where you wanna go, or you're focused on the things just to get them done. It's like, but. That's not why you're actually doing things. It's because maybe there's a bigger thing you want to create if you're not tuned into that. It's just like, have to get this done.
But for what? So basically the energy that we put into something, like how we create something is how it feels when we have thing. Okay. It's the same with goals. If it's like. She had the have this goal done. Like, I have to get the goal. I have to get the goal. So we think something's gonna change when we get the goal, and yet we're creating the goal from this like rush or panic or like, oh, if I create the goal, then somehow I'm better and I'll be worthy and I'll be this.
When we have the goal, we're not gonna be satisfied. [00:22:00] We're not gonna feel any differently. We're just gonna be, if we rush to create a goal, we'll rush onto the next thing. Like there will always be something else, like how we are being in the moment while we are creating. Is like literally changes everything, the whole outcome of it.
And so this course that I created, not the first one I created. The second one was very much, and like, I didn't catch it at the time, but I, I do see it now. Like looking back, it was very much like, I should do this, I should do it in this way. There was a lot of shoulds in there of like, not like. How would I want this to be?
What do I actually want? It was like, this is what I see other people doing or maybe have seen other people doing, or maybe how I would've done it in a corporate space. Therefore, this is what I will do myself. And even looking back, like I had so much procrastination on designing the, the program I [00:23:00] like took so long, putting like slides together.
Even when I was recording it, I. Was reneging, for want of a better word. I was like going back on my priorities. My priorities were like the number one in my life at that moment was like space and time and like being present with my family. My like, I dunno how old my son would've been, eight months old or something.
I dunno, whatever it was. And yet I was, no, maybe it was a builder anyway, and yeah, I was. Sat some Saturday days. I was going to go and do these slides and record these videos and I was taking time away. I was feeling stressed and I was bringing that home. And so how I was being, when I was recording it was like, I should do this.
I was forcing it. It was like, okay, cool. Just need to get these videos done. Just need to get these videos done and like I got it done. [00:24:00] Sure, there was a program there, but. Was it actually what I wanted it to be? No, it was like I, it was almost like I built something and sure, it had like elements of where I was like, oh, this is what I want to be in there.
But I had built something. I was like, this isn't even me. This isn't even what I want to like invite people into or. Coach around these things. It was just, I was like, I have built something from a place of like pressure and it has to be done this way. So then that's like bleeding into what was actually coming through in some of the videos.
And even just like some of them I had energy and was like, and some just watching them back, it was like I was literally like dead behind my eyes. It's like I didn't, it's not that I didn't wanna be there, but I wasn't. I wasn't lit up by it. I wasn't like, oh, this, like, this is that thing. This is like, I can't wait to [00:25:00] create it.
It's gonna be so amazing. Like this is so cool. This is so this. There was none of that. And so then once I had created it, that pressure that like, this isn't even what I want. All the shoots I'd created it with, they were still there when I'd created it, like how I was being in the process of creating it.
That was the end product that I had. I had something, I was like, it's not even me. This isn't even what I wanted and what I really wanted. I love the in-person element coaching of it, but the videos and like that whole piece around it, it's like not in person, but the group coaching element of it. That part I loved, but the actual content and all of that was like, oh, this just isn't.
There was some disconnect and I hadn't tapped into what was true for me. I hadn't. Really understood about regulating my nervous system at that point. Like that was work I did a little bit later actually after I like really, that I really understood about like visualization, regulating my nervous system, [00:26:00] like focusing on the best case.
Like all of that stuff really happened after I got depressed and really burned out or burned out and then really depressed. And it was those things that. It was this like complete rock bottom of, okay, something needs to change in how I'm actually approaching things and this isn't working for me anymore.
It, it wasn't working with my neurodivergent brain, it was me trying to like do things how I thought I should or how I saw other people doing it, and not actually checking in with like, what is right for me and, oh man. Okay. Yeah. Okay. I thought I might get a little bit emotional, but I hadn't, I mean, I have processed, I guess I've had a lot of therapy for like, helping help me with this.
Um, but the, I guess the bit of why this feels so scary to share, scary to have as a scary goal, even though it's like, I know it's what I want and scary to share is. [00:27:00] I've known and it's been a deep knowing of like I know that I wanna put some of this stuff together in a way that I'm like, oh, this is like my dream way of conveying and teaching these elements in a way that feels so fun and so flowy.
And so just like, ah, this is so cool. And I know that like that's what I'm aiming for. The bit that feels scary and like where I got a bit emotional there is just. There's a lot of fear still, and I'm processing it and working it through of like,
I guess for me, like in my brain, there's still that connection, and again, I'm unpicking this, but like building a course, building a program equals burnout and depression and just how that impacted me and how that impacted my family.
Like not wanting to go back there. And so it makes sense like if something [00:28:00] has happened in our past that has felt that we've maybe not fully processed at the time and has felt really traumatic and has been just like a real low or something really hard, like it stays in our system, it stays in our nervous system and.
Can hold us back. And that's why we can procrastinate on things. That's why we can hesitate on things. And even though I've known that I wanted to create this and like before mat leave, so it's like a way that I can have these tools in the world when I'm on mat leave and not coaching one-on-one and be able to reach more people.
Like I have something that people can use and be like, this is so fun. I'm able to do all these cool things and it doesn't rely on me like being there. Like I know that that is what I want to create. Yet there's still been so much hesitation because of this fear that somehow I will go back to burning out and then getting really depressed.
And I think winter also is a hard time for me anyway. Like I actually started therapy [00:29:00] like proactively last winter to make sure I didn't go back into that place again of getting, of feeling really depressed. And I didn't. And so like it feels, and I have just like such different tools now, like that actually work with my brain and that really just help me move through a lot of that stuff.
So I like, it feels different. I don't feel like I am, like I know how to catch it more. I know how to get myself out of that more. But it's still a fear of, okay, um, what if I put this thing together and it's not what I wanted and I end up. Up getting burned out and depressed again, which I know like logically I know is not gonna happen, but I guess emotionally like in my body, which is why I had that kind of emotional reaction to it.
There's still some part of me that's scared of that. So that's why it feels really vulnerable to share this, because I guess if I hadn't shared it. I could just do a free training and then just be like, cool, let's [00:30:00] me and Matt leave, right? Bye. I'd like if I decided I didn't wanna build the thing and didn't want to create it, then no one would know.
Whereas I'm like, oh, if I say it out loud and I actually tell you guys about it, and I voice what feels like a really scary goal for me in real time, that feels really scary and vulnerable. Yet here we are. It also feels good to say it. And yeah, with the last program, the one that didn't like that I built from just a completely diff, just an energy that was not what I actually wanted.
And then the actual thing I had was like just had that energy all the way through it and wasn't what I wanted. I ended up closing it down and I refunded everyone. So like even that.
That whole decision around that and like the process around that felt really hard. And you know, it was [00:31:00] easy to be like, I failed I this, you know, go into that, which I was able to kinda work through and, and I know that even if, I guess maybe that's the other fear is like speaking about this scary goal as I'm creating it.
There is then that fear that like if I don't in some way or if like, I dunno, someone's like you said this thing would be great and it's terrible. Like, I dunno, whatever. It's like, I think these tools are amazing and I know that they're amazing for like the right person that wants to use them and is like super into this stuff and is willing to like do things differently and like learn about their brain and their nervous system and their brain body connection and, and actually like use these tools.
But there's still that bit of like, oh, if it doesn't work in some way, I've failed. I'm a failure. You know, like my brain going to all that. So hence it feeling it easier to just not talk about it at all. I'd be like, I'll just not share it. I won't even mention it. And then if I don't do it, then that's all good and I'll just like have a few cruisy weeks until [00:32:00] my mat leave and then I'll just disappear off and that'll be fine.
But I know that that's not what I want. I know that like this is what I want to create and I'm really excited for that. And. I also know that I wanted to share this journey in real time of how I'm creating it. And so one of the key things, again, knowing that the energy with which we create something is the energy of the thing.
Okay? So it's like how we're thinking, feeling while we're doing the actions and doing whatever we are to, to create something, whether it's writing an email or creating a a tool. It matters. And so for me, what I'm focused on, which feels so different to last time, and I wanna share this because it might be something you can take into how you're working or something that you're creating at the moment.
Is like being really clear, like what is the energy of what you wanna [00:33:00] create? What is that? And then tapping into that energy as you create it. So for me, I know I want this tool to be really playful and really fun. As well as like useful and practical and simple. Like simple as well, but like really playful, really fun.
It doesn't feel like work. It doesn't feel like an extra thing to do. It just feels like, almost like a hug, a companion, something. You're like, I wanna go and listen to this thing and like figure this out and have this, this cool tool to try out. And then seeing the like results and the feedback and then trying the next one.
And this is what like I want it to be. So it means that while I'm creating it. I wanna be getting into the energy of fun and it feeling playful. So that is my sign. It's like the emotions that I'm tapping into as I'm creating this is like fun and playful. And that's such a good reminder for me because also that's when I have like all my best ideas and everything just like flows out of me.
And [00:34:00] like, you know, it took me literally six months or something to put together this last program that when I closed down and. This one will be ready on the 5th of November. So what's that? 5th of December? Three weeks. I mean, I know what the things are. I've like mapped it out. There's still to actually create and put it together, there's gonna be so much more.
And I, and I work two days a week at the moment. Um, so I know that it could be easy to slip into like, oh, I need this, I need this, I need more time. It's like, no, I bend time. I know that when like I tap into fun and when I let things be playful, literally they can just like pour, they just pour out of me.
Like I could record the things in like a few hours. Like once. I'm like, okay, cool. These are the things like go, like I know that it doesn't actually take that much time when I'm in that energy. The trick for me is just before I do any like, [00:35:00] work on this or think about it or. Or maybe even start speaking about it, although maybe this podcast episode is a little bit different, there's a bit of fear in there.
I mean, it still feels, it feels fun as well, is tapping into fun, tapping into playfulness, and just allowing that to be there. And it'll be really fun to see the finished product also feeling fun and like that would be, you know, like having people use it and then come back with like, ah, this is so fun. Or like, this is the funnest.
Tool, course, program, whatever, that I've like ever used, like this is so fun. Like I'm having so much fun doing it. I'm enjoying myself so much. Like I'm really loving this whole process. That will be a sign that like, that's that, you know, that, that, that has been the intention that I'm putting behind it.
Then when that's reflected back in how other people experience it, it's like this is how emotions are contagious and it's like we can. When we are having fun and enjoying what we do, like other people feel that too and like when then we [00:36:00] create something that just feels joyful and magical and playful and fun and maybe that's not what you wanna create.
Maybe you wanna create something that's, I dunno, clear and simple and whatever. So it's like then you would get yourself into that energy and that over the final thing. So really, I guess I wanted to share that just as an update of this is what I'm working through and working through and how I'm approaching it this time around.
That's different than last time. And for you the, I guess the thing to take away and think about is the first question, like how can you add and sprinkle in a little bit of fun and joy and playfulness throughout your day to just like bring in that, I guess it's kind of like being a kid again, isn't it?
Just bringing that play when we are, like, when we're playing, we are. Our most creative, we feel relaxed, we feel safe. We're able to tap into just like such higher level innovative thinking. So like playing and playfulness is so, I used to [00:37:00] think it was like frivolous until having my son. I'm like, oh, I understand now that actually when like to be able to play.
Means you're relaxed and at ease, and it's like you're in a state where you're gonna be learning, you're gonna be figuring things out, you're gonna have all these cool ideas, like things are just gonna feel easier. So how can you bring more fun and play into like your day to day? And then the second piece is thinking is there.
So like the next time you're intentionally going to create something, whether it's an email, a document, a report, a proposal, a presentation, really getting clear what is the energy, what is that feeling that you wanna be having? Or leaving people with when they're experiencing it, when they're reading it, when they're using it, or when you're delivering it.
If it's like a presentation, what is that? And then tapping into that while you're creating the thing. And if you don't know how to do that, that is all gonna be in this tool of like how you can actually tap into a feeling on [00:38:00] purpose. So like. I not just experiencing whatever comes up based on like what's in the past, but how to be like this intentionally is how I want to feel and now I'm going to generate this on purpose.
So if that feels a little bit vague, then like that will be in the tool. So you could go get that and then actually like learn that skill for yourself because it's so powerful is like how you create the thing that your entire experience of as you're doing it, that flows through into the final thing. So.
I hope that was, well, I was gonna say helpful. I dunno if it was even helpful. I just wanted to share that, and I'll keep you posted on how the process is going, what I'm learning along the way, and then on the 5th of December or roundabout, then whenever I make the tool alive, you can experience it for yourself and.
Enjoy it and have fun doing it and play and [00:39:00] feel like it's this like fun, playful game because it's going to be because that's the energy that I'm pouring into it, and that's what you're gonna be experiencing. So, so fun. Anyway, thanks for listening. I really appreciate you guys. And. If you haven't signed up yet to the workshop on the 5th of December, come the links in the show notes like come live.
It's gonna be so good, and you're gonna learn like we're gonna do really practical stuff like as we go. So it's not just gonna be like me talking and you taking notes. It's like you're gonna physically. Do something and change something and come away being like feeling unstuck, not procrastinating on something, being like, oh, I see the way forward for this.
Like that is my intention. It's gonna be a really potent, useful workshop, and I'll dive in a bit more to the tool as well at the end of the workshop so you can find out more about a bed and get stuck into it. See, I'm feeling really excited now. I mean, it's gonna be freaking amazing and fun and playful and just everything that I [00:40:00] have wanted it to be.
It's just moving through this fear that I'm gonna go back somehow to the burnout and the depression, which I know logically I'm not. It's just getting my body on board to be like, we're not going back there. This is different. We're in a different place now. So anyway, I hope you have an amazing rest of the day and an amazing week ahead and I'll see you next time.
Bye.
